Three Gorges Reservoir has become the Biggest Fresh Water Reservoir in China

Its maximum storage capacity reaches 39.3 billion cubic meters. Three Gorges Reservoir also relieves the droughts at middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River. It also created beneficial conditions for the improvement of the ecological environment and provide guarantee for the water supply of the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River.
