Luxury Cruise Ships Created Three Gorges Leisure Tourism Products
On September 1, 2010, Century Diamond started its first trip at Chongqing Port. It is a luxury cruise ship manufactured as the five-star hotel. Three are 13 luxury cruise ships sailing on Three Gorges International Gold Tourism Area till now. With the constantly improvement of hardware facilities and service quality, Three Gorges is more than a simple tourism route. It has been a new choice of leisure tourism for visitors at home and abroad.
We learned from Chongqing Tourism Bureau that an increasingly number of visitors at home prefers to choose a leisure tourism product with the enhancement of the implementation of the Paid Holiday Regulation and the National Recreation Plan in recent years. They would like to immerse themselves in the nature and relax themselves in a comfortable and leisure way. Chongqing had accelerated the manufacture of luxury cruise ships for Yangtze cruise since 2008. They planned to manufacture 20 luxury cruise ships with five-star standard facilities and service before 2012.
It is said that the luxury cruise ships would be manufactured as five-star hotels. There are sightseeing elevators, gyms, beauty salon, cyber café, stores and so on. The cabins on the ships are larger than 20 square meters. Each cabin is equipped with personal bathroom and sightseeing balcony. Though the price (2500-3500 RMB per person) of the luxury cruise ships is a little bit higher, luxury cruise ship has been the visitors' best choice for travel to Three Gorges. According to statistics, various types of cruise ships of Three Gorges received more than 200000 visitors from January to June this year. Among which the luxury cruise ships received 127000 visitors.
According to the Century Cruises Limited Company, with the development of Three Gorges leisure tourism products , the cruise ships enterprises will develop new cruise ships which attaches great importance on environmental protection and energy saving. They will develop Yangtze Cruise into a low carbon tourism product.
