Direct Flight from Los Angeles to Chongqing Will Open in Next Year

Visitors of American Los Angeles can directly go to Chongqing by plane in next year, hopefully. Yesterday, Municipal Foreign Economic and Trade Commission published the information that the two important western central cities of China and America – Chongqing and Los Angeles signed the Cooperation Intention Agreement in Beijing in several days ago. Base on the agreement, the two sides have set hands on the preparation work about the direct rout of the two cities, which means Chongqing will make the first America route. Furthermore, Los Angeles will set up tourism office in Chongqing in next year to promote the tourism cultural communication.

"The Goods Made in Chongqing" Can Fly to Los Angeles Directly

Base on the agreement, Chongqing will open the direct flight with Los Angeles, transport both passengers and goods.

Gao Wen, who is the chief of Municipal Foreign Economic and Trade Commission Foreign Affairs Department, expressed that "the Chongqing to Europe railway let the computers which is made in Chongqing can reach European market directly, but there is no route can reach the America directly. To open the direct flight can shorten the time to transport Chongqing goods to the America. At the same time, the Americans can reach Chongqing directly.

About the question that when this rout will on service, Gao Wen expressed that the two sides have set hands on the related preparation works about the direct rout. Presently, the airport and airline company of Los Angeles are discussing this matter. They predicted that the early stage is to extend the route of Shanghai and Los Angeles, and increase the takeoff and landing spot in Chongqing.

"Los Angeles-Chongqing Week" Will be Held in Next Year

As reported, this agreement will not only increase a route to America for Chongqing, but also it will make the communication of the two cities become more frequency.

Base on the Agreement, the two cities will hold promotion activities from next year. The "Los Angeles–Chongqing Week" will be held in Los Angeles in June to July of next year, while "Chongqing–Los Angeles Week" will be held in Chongqing, in August to September. These activities can promote the communication and cooperation of the two cities in trade, culture, tourism and other aspects.
