Yellow Dragon Cave in Wudang Mountain – Medicinal Herbs Resources

The yellow dragon is just a legend, but the famous doctor Li Shizhen in Ming Dynasty lived here is a historical reality. It is said that Li Shizhen came to Wudang Mountain to gather medical herbs and lived in the cave. Li Shizhen modified his masterpiece - Compendium of Material Medica in Yellow Dragon Cave, and recorded more than 800 of rare and precious herbs in his work. Yellow Dragon Cave has a close relationship with the medical herbs of Wudang Mountain. It is said that nine of the ten Taoists knew how to cure the common diseases. That was strongly relevant to their research of immortality. In fact, they did great contribution to the research and application of medicine of Wudang Mountain.
