Xixia Palace
Xixia Palace, formerly known as Yun Sheng Palace, is located in five thousand meters away of the northwest of Yunyang County. Built in the Han Dynasty, renovated several time during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, it is the famous temple of the Quanzhen Taoist School. The entire temple built on the mountain, surrounded by pines with the upward roofs, carved beams and painted rafters. The foundation stone of the temple decorated by lifelike tigers and leopards. Lao Zi, the originator of Taoism was consecrated in the temple. The main hall has a huge blast furnace. The famous couplet poem hanging in the temple all around. In addition to the main hall and Xixia palace, there is Tiger Stone, Gold Plate Pond, Sheshen Rock, Fox Hole and many other historic spots.
