Nanjing is located at southwestern Jiangsu Province by Yangtze River. It is an important economic center of the Lower Reaches of Yangtze River Area. It is also an important culture and education center of China.

Nanjing enjoys a subtropical monsoon climate. It has four distinctive seasons with an annual average temperature of 15.4 ℃ and an extremely high temperature of 39.7 ℃. Wuhan is located at the confluence of Yangtze River and Han River. It is the biggest city in central China area. It is an important hub of China. Due to the large lake area of Wuhan, the temperature here is relatively higher since there are much more vapor in the atmosphere.

Chongqing is located at the confluence of Yangtze River and Jialing River. Chongqing is one of the four municipalities directly under the central government of China. It is the shipping center of upper reaches of Yangtze River. It has been listed as a historical and cultural city of China.

Chongqing enjoys a subtropical humid monsoon climate. Its average annual temperature is about 18℃. It has a very hot summer with an extremely high temperature of 43 ℃. There are about 77 hot days (the temperature is above 32℃) and about 26 extremely hot days(the temperature is above 37 ℃) in summer. It has the most hot days and extremely hot days among the three stove cities at Yangtze River Basin.
