If you have a Three Gorge tour, you will go to the Lesser Three Gorges on Daning River. The Daning River is the longest anabranch of the Yangtze River, which is 250 kilometers long. It flows into Wushan Mountain from north to south, and flow into the Yangtze River in Wushan County. On the beautiful Daning River, there are seven fantastic gorges. Among these gorges, the Yueya Gorge, Jinzu Gorge, Jiandao Gorge and Miao Gorge are located in Wuxi County, while the Bawu Gorge and Longmen Gorge are located in Wushan County. Three Gorges Tour – Macaques in Lesser Three Gorges

On the Bawu Gorge and Dicui Gorge, you often can see macaques. These macaques are fed by the Three Gorges Scenic Spot. Now, there are about 1000 macaques, including over 10 groups. They have private activity zone and the king is their group. There are macaques standing on high point to guard. Once there is sign of trouble, they will send out sign and run away. It is very interesting.

Three Gorges Tour – Dachang Ancient Town

On the east bank of the Daning River, and north side of the Lesser Three Gorges, there is an ancient town – Dachang Ancient Town, which was built in West Jin Dynasty. This town was named Taichang when it was built. Then, it was renamed to Dachang County in 281. It was divided into Wushan County in Kangxi Period of Qing Dynasty. In the end of Ming Dynasty, Li Zicheng ever led his army to have battles at here. In Jiaqing Period of Qing Dynasty, Wang Conger ever led army to fight against Qing army. In 1927, the farmer leader Xie Chongde ever occupied this town for four years. The present Dachang Town is a "T" shape street. The folk houses on the sides of street are courtyard house in Ming and Qing Dynasties. The most typical is the courtyard of Wen family. After thousands years, the three gates of Dachang Town were destroyed, only the north gate well preserved. Since July, 2005, the ancient town was removed to its present site, the entrance of Dicui Gorge.
