Introduction of Sleigh Bell Rock

The Sleigh Bell Rock is the nearest scenic area of Yichang City. It includes natural waterfull and grotesque stones. Throughout the year, the scenery is like a picture, natural mineral water, constant water flows, dotted flowers and silver waterfall which seems to be fallen from the sky and flows into the sleigh bell shaped huge cliff, it is a magnificent picture. The famous poet Li Bai once wrote a poem for this wonderful waterfall.

Inside the scenic area, there are 14 natural scenic spots. They are Ma Wang Couple's Rock, Sleigh Bell, Sky River Dyke, Wind Catching Horse and Toad Pond.

This scenic area is not just a natural attraction but also it equipped with the entertainment facilities. Inside the scenic area there are: Traditional Ba People's Style Hotel, Stilt-House, Classical Tea House, Ba People's Style Restaurant, Karaoke, Natural Swimming Pool and other facilities which will give you an unforgettable trip.

Legend of Sleigh Bell Rock

According to the legend, Ma Wang was the white horse of Tang Sanzang, after they finished the pilgrimage for the Buddhist Scriptures, the white horse became arrogant and he frequently use the sleigh bell to harm the people. This made the Queen Mother very angry, she threw him into the prison. Ma Wang's son and his mother rode on the wind catching horse to the Half Moon Rock and they were blocked by the Queen Mother. But at this time, the rock started to shine as well as Ma Wang has escaped from the prison and went to the Half Moon Rock. The whole family were so excited to get together and their happy tears became the Toad Pond.
