Wu Gorge starts from the Daning River entrance at east of Wushan County, to the Guandukow in Badong, Hubei Province, stretching 46 kilometers. It is famous for its deep, quiet and beauty. The Wu Gorge can be divided into two sections. The western section consists of Gold Helmets and Silver Armors Gorge, and Jianchuan Gorge. The eastern section consists of Iron Coffin Gorge, Menshan Gorge. In this gorge, there often appear clouds and fog.

Xiling Gorge

Xiling Gorge starts from the entrance of Xiangxi Stream in the west part, to the Nanjing Pass in east part, stretching 66 kilometers. This gorge is divided into two sections by Maionan Valley. The there gorge includes Military Mannual and Precious Sword Gorge, Ox Liver and Horse Lung Gorge, Kongling Gorge, Lantern Shadow Gorge, Yellow Cat Gorge and so on. There are many dangerous shoals and rapids in the gorge.
