Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area

Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area is located in Shimen Mountain of northern Huangpi District. It is only 55 kilometers away from the downtown of Wuhan City. The whole Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area covers an area of 320 hectares. It was divided into scenic resort and leisure resort.

Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area - Climate

The highest peak of Mulan Heavenly Lake is 520.6 meters above the sea level. Mulan Heavenly Lake belongs to the southern foothills of Dabie Mountain. There are a lot of ravines and dense forests here. Streams flow through here all year round. It presents wetland ecology with harmony waters and mountains. The annual average temperature here is between 15℃- 22℃. The average temperature in June is 25.8 ℃. The annual average rainfall is about 2000 millimeters.

Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area - Landscape

There is a 5 kilometers long canyon in Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area. There are more than 200 scenic spots formed of waterfalls, lakes, peculiar rocks and rare trees. You could appreciate different landscapes while you moving your steps here. There are lakes like bright mirrors at both ends of the canyon. There is a height difference about 380 meters between Big Heavenly Lake and Small Heavenly Lake. Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area is always praised as "Jiuzhaigou of Hubei Province" and "Lu Mountain of Wuhan".

Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area – Historical Stories

It is said that General Hua Mulan's (she is an outstanding female general in ancient China) Grandmother's home is located at Mulan Heavenly Lake Scenic Area. It is the place where General Mulan grew up and practiced the martial. It is also the place where the great proletarian revolutionist - Li Xiannian lived and fought. There are many revolutionary sites. There are still many ancient stockade sites of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom in late Qing Dynasty. It seems that every scenic spot here has a moving historical story.
