Mini Three Gorges

Mini Three Gorges of Wushan Mountain is the sister gorges of the Lesser Three Gorges of Daning River. Because it is smaller than Lesser Three Gorges, hence it was named Mini Three Gorges.
Madu River is a branch of Daning River. Mini Three Gorges including three gorges: Sancheng Gorge, Qinwang Gorge and Changtan Gorge. It stretches over 20 kilometers, with unique peaks, crystal clear water, narrow river way which it attracted a lot of tourists.
Mini Three Gorges on Madu River is a scenic area which composing: tourism, exploration and drifting. It is the best drifting area of China. You can just enjoy the happiness of drifting when you sitting in the rubber boat, wearing a life jacket, waving the three feet long silver paddles.
Madu River was originated in Wudunzi, Dangyang Town, Wushan County. In the dense forests of Madu River’ bank there is a unique tree called Twinned Trunks. The river flows from the northeast to southeast and flowes into Daning River at Dengtian Peak, Dicui Gorge. It is said that in the autumn of Chong Zhen period of Ming Dynasty, the leader of the peasant uprising army Zhang Xianzhong destroyed the strongpoint of the government troops and divided their forces into three. He ordered them to cross the river and take over Dachang County. Later the people began to call it Madu River. Another statement is that in the ancient times, there is no ferry boat, so the people here cross the river by horse, hence it got its name.
