Mini Three Gorges Introduction

Wushan Mini Three Gorges located on Madu River which is the anabranch of Danning River, in Dicui Gorge. Mini Three Gorges is the generic term of Changtan (Long Beach) Gorge, Qinwang (Emperor Qin) Gorge and Sancheng (Three Poles) Gorge. Mini Three Gorges is the sister of Lesser Three Gorges. For it is smaller than Lesser Three Gorges, hence named it "Mini Three Gorges". Wushan Mini Three Gorges was praised as the best drifting place.

Mini Three Gorges Introduction – Changtan Gorge

It starts from Shuanghe River to Pinghe River, stretching 5 kilometers. There is a 2 kilometers long, tens meters wide river beach in the gorge. This beach is as straight as a string, the water is as quiet as mirror, the sand and stone are very white, with the mountains and trees shadow on the beach, hence named it Changtan Gorge. In this gorge, valleys are narrow, mountains are high, steep cliffs on the two banks face each other, looks very magnificent and dangerous; water in the gorge is so limpid that you can see the river bottom, and with various fishes in the river; colorful pebbles cover on the banks and sometimes you can find paleontology fossils. There are Dishui (Water Dropping) Stone, Chongming (Clever) Spring, Shoupa (Climb) Rock, Chuandongzi and some other scenic spots.

Mini Three Gorges Introduction – Qinwang Gorge

It starts from Shuangdu to Shuanghe, stretching 4 kilometers. In the gorge, mountains are green and water is limpid, looks very deep and quiet. The water is flowing slowly, and very limpid, where is the best place for drifting. There is a big cave on the east side of Qinwang Gorge. It is said that in Chongzhen period of Ming Dynasty, there was a brigand whose first name is Qin ever occupied this cave as his fortress and to bully people. Later, he was captured by Zhang Xianzhong, hence this cave is named "Qinwang Cave". There is another idea said that there is a person whose first name is Qin in Ming Dynasty, and the emperor asked him to make explosive and he succeed. Later, the government conferred him as Emperor Qin, so this cave is named "Qinwang Cave"; and this gorge is named "Qinwang Gorge". There are Wangxiang Platform, Tiger Head Rock, Yellow Dragon over the River, Carp Jump over the Dragon Gate, Fairy Welcome Customer, Paradise Music Bell, Luohan Hall and some other scenic spots.

Mini Three Gorges Introduction – Sancheng Gorge

It starts from the mouth of Madu River, stretching 5 kilometers. It is the first gorge of Mini Three Gorges. The cliffs on the two banks like been cut by knife; the waterway is very narrow, like a crack cut by God, looks very beautiful. There is no room for people to tow the boat, only can use a pole to sail, hence named it "Sancheng Gorge". The original vegetations in the gorge are not damaged, so there are green plants along the gorge. You can see queer stalactite in the gorge everywhere, flying waterfall pouring down from the sky; full of poetic and pictorial splendor. There are Deer Turn Back Head, Shouxing (God of Longevity) Peak, Shizhu (Stone Pole) Bay, Xiangsi Spring, Longhu (Dragon and Tiger) Pool, Muqin (Mother) Rock, Yueliang (Moon) Fortress and some other scenic spots.
