Brief Introduction of Jiuwan Stream

Jiuwan Stream located on the south bank of Yangtze River, west of Zigui new county. It is originated from the south foot of Yun Taihuang, northwest of Zhuxihuang, Yanglinqiao Town. Jiuwan stream includes: Sandu River, Linjia River, Laolin River and Jiuwan Stream River. The stream flows into Yangtze River at the place 20 kilometers to Three Gorges Dam. The stream extending 42.3 kilometers and covering 514.5 square meters, the river mouth facing the Ox Liver and Horse Lung Gorge, upstream linking with Military Book and Precious Sword Gorge, downstream is Kongling Shoal. It is the most dangerous part in Yangtze River ancient dolly way. The river mouth of Jiuwan Stream named Juyu Fang (Giant Fish) and it is the hometown of great patriot poet Qu Yuan, and now, it is one of the best places to enjoy the scenery of smooth lake rises in the narrow gorges.

Jiuwan Stream drifting can bring you to enjoy the primitive and original natural landscape and relax yourself. After Three Gorges Reservoir water impounding in 2003, Jiuwan Stream divided into two parts. The up part is adventurous exploration drifting which is 6.8 kilometers, down part is 6.4 kilometers leisure drifting. It is very pleasing that drifting among the high mountains and smooth lakes enjoy beautiful mountains and limpid river.

Scenic Spots of Jiuwan Stream

All of the sight spots are well laid out and make the Jiuwan Stream scenic spot become more famous and full of culture color. Once you come, you will not want to back. The drifting on the waterway is more attractive. The waterway extending 13.2 kilometers, include the up and down parts. The up part is 6.4 kilometers adventurous exploration drifting, drift on the rapids, you will glance the suspending coffins during the exciting drifting. The down part is 6.8 kilometers leisure drifting on the slack water, water level in this part is 70-80 meters. You can see the water is green, 48 mountains on the both banks in different shape, plants on the mountains over 100 kinds. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bifeng Stone, Wangfu (Waiting Husband) Stone, Monkey King Fortress, Baixiao (Hundred Nights) Painting and Fairy Having Bath, makes you feel like in paradise, can view the verve of ancient tree, grass, long rattan, wild beasts in primary forest, can appreciate the grand momentum of Jiuwan Stream Generating Plant, Jiuwan Stream Bridge, as well as exploit the adventurous 800 meters Qing Zhong Fissure.
