Golden Lion Cave

Gilden Lion Cave, at the north of Yichang County about 17km. According to the research of Sino-French exploration group and the experts of the National Tourism Bureau. They assessed the cave is a limestone cave with 100 million years old. The cave has three storeys: the upper, the middle and lower storeys. The developed part of the cave is about 1853 meters deep, 48 meters wide, 56 meters high, 200,000 cubic meters of total space. Inside the cave, the road is zigzagging but the hall is huge and wide. The stalactites have many different shapes, such as stone pillars, stalagmites, stone curtain and stone screen. Under the colorful light they seems like the towering peeks, waterfalls,animals, fairies or pavilions. What's more, the magnificent scenery of the cave has been scattered appropriately by the nature. Especially, the Golden Lion Palace which surrounded by mist and clouds, and a golden lion walking out with great dignity, that image will let you can't help to applaud. So people call it Golden Lion Cave. Out of the cave there is the Grotesque Stone Garden, the quiet and pleasant Sakura Garden, the beautiful Calyx Canthus Gorge and Summer Beach which will make you become the slave of pleasure.
