Feisheng Cliff (Soaring Cliff) peaks on the Wudang Mountain. Its three sides are precipices. There is a footpath heading to the peak in the ridge. Stand in the peak and have an overlook of the landscape of the lower 72 cliffs will get into your eyes.

Feisheng Cliff on Wudang Mountain – Legend about Emperor Xuanwu

It is said that Great Xuanwu practiced here when he was young. He sat silently and contemplated for dozens of years. He kept setting there and never move even when a bird building a nest on his head. One day, he almost finished his practice; a fairy named Ziqiyuanjun came to the earth to test him. Ziqiyuanjun changed himself into a beautiful girl and came to dress for Great Xuanwu. In order to get away from the beautiful girl, Great Xuanwu escaped to a rock on the cliff. Then suddenly, the girl jumped down from the cliff for shame, and Great Xuanwu also jumped down to save the girl. At that moment, five dragons raised high into the air from the gorge and supported Great Xuanwu to the heaven.

Feisheng Cliff on Wudang Mountain – Test Rock

Later, people build a "dresser" here after the legend of the Great Xuanwu, and called the rock stretches out of the cliff "test rock". The graceful and precipitous landscape there is absolutely breathtaking and makes people never want to leave.
