Earth Crack of Tianjing Gorge

Earth Crack of Tianjing Gorge is located in Xinglong District which is 91 kilometers away from the city of Fengjie County. The earth crack is 14 kilometers long, and is divided into two parts: the upper part and the lower part. The upper part stretches from Daxiang Mountain to Chigucao, it is a crack hidden under the earth and about 8 kilometers long. You can reach the bottom of the crack from Tianjing Gorge and pass through 3.5 kilometers. The crack is 80.2 kilometers deep and 330 meters wide. The walls of the crack are very steep. It is a typical gorge landscape of  Yixiantian (a line of sky). There are sinkholes in the bottom of the crack; you can see water streams after heavy rains. The lower part stretches from Heaven Pit to Maze Gorge. It is a hidden cave about 6 kilometers long and was found by a British cave explorer in August 1994.
