Dragon Vat – Brief Introduction

Dragon Vat is located in Qingshui (which is 80 kilometers far from the town city of Yunyang County), it is the largest Karst well in the world.

It is a rare circular heaven pit looks like a water vat. The mouth of Dragon Vat is elliptical. There is a 6 meters long natural stone extends further into the vat. It is about 0.3 meter wide; visitors could bend over here to have a look of the special landscape in the pit. The wall of the vat is covered with wisterias and decorated by wild flowers. The steel- gray underside of the vat is seemed to be cut out by axe. Throw a stone into the pit; you would hear the echoes after several seconds.

Dragon Vat – Little Animals

There are some little animals in the pit, and there are also birds with trenchant wings named Flying Tiger flying in and out the pit. It is said that once there's someone down to the underside of the pit along a coarse twine, he was dead since his twine was cut by the Flying Tiger.

Dragon Vat - Eagle's Mouth Rock

There is a big rock about five meters high standing in the south edge of the vat. And a stone about 2 meters long lies on its top. One end of the stone slopes toward the vat, a little hooked. It was called Eagle's Mouth Rock since it looks like an eagle's mouth.
