Dalao Ridge

Dalao Ridge is into the depth of the Xiling Gorge. It is a beautiful and tranquil summer resort which is about 100 km away from Yichang. Dalao Ridge stretches cross Zigui and Xinshan County in Yichang, It covers  64 square kilometers, the average elevation is 1300 meters.

Dalao Ridge National Forest Park is the first national forest park of Hubei province in Three Gorges Area. It is located at the cross road of Yangtze River Three Gorges and Shengnongjia the two golden tourist lines. Dengcun Village - the hometown of organic tea is in the south of Dalao Ridge and borders the hometown of Qu Yuan in the west.

Tianzhu Peak is the highest peak of Dalao Ridge, its elevation is 2005 meters. It got its name for its vertical columns shape. The clouds hanging over Dalao Ridge all year round. The natural plants were well preserved; hence, it is praised as "natural forest park".

The annual average temperature is 12-15 ℃, the average summer temperature is 22℃, so it's a great place to spend your summertime. The forest coverage rate here is 89%; 121 seed plants' families; more than 200 species of medicinal plants; rare plants and animals about 60 species.
