Chexi Folk Culture Scenic Area

Chexi Folk Culture Scenic Area of Three Gorges is located in Tujia Town, Yichang City. It is about 18 kilometers away from the downtown with a total area of 20 sq kilometers. The scenic area extends 7.5 kilometers and consists of ten scenic spots (Shixian Valley – Stone Fairy Valley, Bachu Homeland Garden, Three Gorges Folk Culture Village, Farm Museum, Waterwheel Museum, Former Site of People's Commune, Tianlong Grotto, Grotesque Stone Museum, Wind Cave and Wangyou Valley).

Chexi Gorge has magnificent mountain, beautiful water and ancient folk customs. There are magnificent peaks, grotesque stones, strange caves, splendid waterfalls and crystal springs. The scenic area combines natural scenery and cultural resource perfectly. Grand peaks, strange stones, waterfalls, fresh springs scattered in the scenic area.

Now, there are eight particular tours: farming display; ancient workshop performance; peasants' dancing and singing; bonfire party; expedition of wintersweet(3000 acres wintersweet, plants science education museum); Pagoda Valley, Heigou gorge forest bath (natrual oxygen bar); adventure in karst cave; river tracing in Wangyou Valley( explore the karst landform and the origin of Chexi River).
