Introduction of Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area

Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area is located in the hinterland of Xiling Gorge between the Three Gorges Dam and Gezhouba Dam. It is the central area of "Two Dams, One Gorge"tourist line. The wheel of the history seems stopped here, leaving behind a piece of ancient and mysterious idyllic land.

At present, Three Gorges Tribe is the national 5A level scenic area one of the 10 scenic spots of new Three Gorges.The total area of 14 square kilometers. It is famous for its rapids, grotesque stones, serene valleys, unique caves and sweet springs. There are Lantern Shadow Gorge, Shiling Tablet, Bawang Stockaded Village, Lantern Shadow Cave, World Fourth Spring, Longjin Stream and Three Gorges Tribe, a total seven scenic areas. The Three Gorges Tribe has four parts: tribe on the mountain, tribe on the water, tribe by the stream and tribe today.

Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area embracing by the mountains, rivers, luxuriant, serene valley and drifting clouds. The famous "Chinese First Tablet","First Stone of Yangtze River", "First turn of Three Gorges" and "First Cave of Xiling Gorge" are all in Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area. The tourists can stay in the scenic area to far from the madding crowd. Besides, river tracing and drifting are also available in this area. The traditional stilt - houses, exquisite ancient sailboat and the local girls' melodious singing give rise to the beauty of Three Gorges Tribe Scenic Area. The 5000 meters long geological stratification of cambrian period and sinian period; rich geomorphologic landscape, including deep valleys, caverns, waterfalls and fountains.
